Co-founders Evie & Petri are a creative duo from Quebec, Canada who started working together in 2004 by launching Urba Rugs, a rug making studio dedicated to high-end custom-made area rugs. Having worked with several renowned interior designers, their bespoke rugs have embellished hundreds of contemporary houses, luxurious hotels and many commercial and retail stores. Their work has been prized and featured in many international design magazines. 

After focusing on their business for nearly 20 years, they started to sell their leftover supplies to weavers and rug makers. They quickly realized the interest and enthusiasm of people about their rug making practice, especially the tufting techniques. During the pandemic, they decided to push this new path a little further by opening an online shop. While pursuing their custom rug company, they are now happy to share their rug making passion with other fiber artists and makers through TuftingNation.
